I’m in the middle of a robo call. Once they pick up, I’m immediately placing them on hold.
Bets on how long before they hangup.

I often deny the call from out of country calls so the english-speaking scammer get to talk to my voicemail. Most have no idea what it is so i get a voicemail of them going “hello? helloooooo? Are you there sir? Sir? Hellooooooh!?”

I think most of them are programmed to hang up pretty soon. The real fun starts when they transfer to a real person to close a deal. Is that service that strings out the call with a recording still around?

Immediately is the answer.
After multiple times trying to mess with them, they now hang up on me after I press 1 to speak to an agent.

Yep. I was on hold to speak to a real person. They must have sensed my plan as they hung up without ever talking to me.

Keep in mind despite whatever reason, if you pick up the phone and hold till the line, they’re just going to put your number in a “call back again” database.

Some people can dish it out but can't take it.

In late March I got a call, took it to a person and when they got on the line I said nothing and only played this video, as loud as I could.
Up to that point I would get 4-5 calls per day. Since then I get one every week or two.
